Actually it is. Every so often, a person come to save the people, but then an idiot shoots the person, so they never get saved and die.

Same old storyline.

With a new plot twist every week.

It's also like House.

House gets a patient.
He mis-diagnosis' the patient.
He tries to cure them.
He fails.
He re-diagnosis' them.
He cures them.
It works.
